Birch Happy Birthday

Vandaag deze leuke kaart voor je. De stempel Birch heb ik cadeau gekregen op OnStage, waar ik vorig weekend geweest ben in Düsseldorf. OnStage is een geweldig evenement voor Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, waar je ook altijd goodies krijgt.	Today I have this cute card for you. The stamp Birch was an OnStage gift. I attended OnStage last week in Düsseldorf. OnStage is a truly great event exclusively for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, where there are always goodies to be had as well.
Als ik eerlijk ben, dacht ik in eerste instantie van deze stempel: Mwah, niet mijn ding." Ik heb deze week bedacht dat je de stempel natuurlijk als berkenstam kunt gebruiken in een mooie natuurkleur, maar mijn idee vind ik eigenlijk net zo leuk. Alle kleuren kunnen!	To be quite honest about it, when I first saw this stamp I went: "Meh, this is not really me." But in the past week I realised you indeed can use this stamp a birch trunk in a nice neutral colour, but I really like my own idea just as much. Any colour goes!
Het is een kaart geworden die je ook goed naar een man kunt sturen, niet te bloemerig of te popperig zeg maar. Door de tekst ook nog met embossing powder te bewerken, krijg je een leuk effect.	I've designed a card that would be suitable for a man too, not too flowery or cutesy if you get my point. By embossing the sentiment with clear embossing powder you get a nice raised effect.

En als je de randen van de ballonnen met een sponsje inkt, krijgen ze meer definitie.

And if you ink the edges of the balloons with a sponge, you make them pop.

Ik hoop dat je hem net zo leuk vindt als ik.	I hope you like it as much as I do.

Verder heb ik gebruikt de stempel Birch. Deze is verkrijgbaar vanaf juni a.s., ik heb hem al - dat is een van de voordeeltjes als je een Demonstrator bent. De stempelset One For All zal niet meer in de nieuwe collectie zitten, dus deze is nog verkrijgbaar tot juni - of zolang de voorraad strekt.	I have also used the stamp Birch. This stamp will be available from June next, I already have it - this is one of the perks of being a Demonstrator. The stamp set One For All will not be in the collection from June, it is retiring. It will be available till then - or as long as stocks last.

Foutje! / Messed Up!

Ik was een kaart aan het ontwerpen met Hello Cupcake en de Call Me Cupcake Framelits; en versjteerde de voorkant. Man! Maar niet getreurd, de foute voorkant eraf gesneden, de binnenkant kleiner gesneden en die op een andere onderkaart geplakt.	I was designing a card with Hello Cupcake and the Call Me Cupcake Framelits; and totally messed up the front. Man! But, no worries, cut off the messed-up front, cut down the size of the inside and stuck this onto a new base card.
Door het zwart-witte ruitje van het Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper vind ik hem nu zelfs geschikt om naar een man te sturen!	The black-and-white check from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper now even makes it suitable to send to man!
Heerlijk toch?	Don't you love it when things work out?

Cards for Men 3 - Crocodiles Galore

Hey, hey!

Terwijl ik aan een ander project bezig was, zag ik dat ik van het fantastisch leuke krokodillenpapier van Animal Expedition wat restjes had. Daar moest natuurlijk een kaart mee gemaakt worden! Het is er eentje geworden in de serie Mannenkaarten.

De maten zijn:

een half vel Very Vanilla Thick card stock - op de helft gerild

een stukje Designer Series Paper van 5⅝" x 3⅞" (14,3 x 9,85 cm)

een strook Designer Series Paper van 1⅜" (3,5 cm)

een strook Shaded Spruce card stock van 1⅝" (4,15 cm)

een strook Crushed Curry Cardstock van 1⅞" (4,75 cm)

While working on a different project, I saw I had scraps of the too cute crocodile paper from Animal Expedition. They cried out to be made into a card! I've made one in my series of Cards for Men with them.

The measurements are:

a half sheet of Very Vanilla Thick card stock - scored in half

a piece of Designer Series Paper of 5⅝" x 3⅞" (14,3 x 9,85 cm)

a strip of Designer Series Paper van 1⅜" (3,5 cm)

a strip of Shaded Spruce card stock van 1⅝" (4,15 cm)

a strip of Crushed Curry Cardstock van 1⅞" (4,75 cm)

En natuurlijk kun je met je restjes papier heel leuk de envelop versieren, dat maakt je kaart helemaal af. In het filmpje kun je zien hoe ik de kaart gemaakt heb. 

And of course you can use your scraps to embellish the envelope for a finishing touch. In the video you can see how I've made this card. 

Cards for Men 2 - High Tide

Hey, hey!

This is the second card in my series Cards for Men. I have used the High Tide stamp set and I have given the lighthouse a 3-D effect. You can fold the card flat and post it.

Dit is de tweede kaart in mijn serie Mannenkaarten. Ik heb de High Tide stempelset gebruikt en de vuurtoren een 3-D effect gegeven. Je kunt de kaart platvouwen en versturen.

Measurements for International A4 Card Stock
take an A4 sheet of Card Stock and cut it lengthwise into two pieces at 4⅛"	neem een vel A4 Card Stock en snijd het in de lengte doormidden op 10,5 cm

Measurements for American A4 Card Stock

If you work in American A4, your paper will have different measurements and your card would look off-key using the measurements above. I've developed a way around this, it involves a little more cutting and adhering. You can see how it's done in the video too.

score one piece at ⅜ / 2⅛ / 3⅞ and 5⅝"

Mannenkaarten / Cards for Men

Hey, hey! Ik vind het best moeilijk om voor een man een geschikte kaart te maken. Het is al snel te bloemerig, maar ik houd ook niet zo van kaarten met gereedschap of zo omdat niet iedere man daar iets mee heeft. Ik ken er genoeg die heel handig zijn, maar ook genoeg die twee linkerhanden hebben. Daarom heb ik besloten mezelf ertoe te zetten een serie kaarten te ontwerpen die je naar een man zou kunnen sturen. Met alle mogelijkheden die Stampin' UP! biedt, zal het afhangen van mijn fantasie hoe ver ik kom. Vandaag zie je de eerste kaart in mijn nieuwe serie.

Hey, hey! I find it slightly daunting to make a card that is suitable for a man. You don't want anything too flowery, but I don't really like cards with tools and the like because not every man is into tools. I know plenty of men who are handy to have around, but then again also plenty who are all thumbs. That is why I have decided to make myself create a series of cards that could be sent to a man. With all the possibilities Stampin' UP! offers, it will come down to my own fantasy how far I will get. Today you can see the first card in my new series.

Ik heb de stempelsets Playful Backgrounds en Happy Birthday Gorgeous gebruikt, met de bijpassende Happy Birthday thinlits en de Balloon Bouquet pons.

I have used the stamp sets Playful Backgrounds and Happy Birthday Gorgeous, with the matching Happy Birthday thinlits and the Balloon Bouquet punch.

Mijn inspiratie heb ik gehaald uit de Jaarcatologus, het geschenkdoosje op blz. 72. Ik hoor graag wat je van mijn kaart vindt, ik stel je mening echt op prijs.
